Introduction

DB: You’re listening to Languagecaster.com’s football-language podcast. Hello everyone! Welcome to the Learn English Through Football podcast; the podcast for all those who love theA beautiful game of football and who are aiming to improve their English language skills. My name is Damon and I’m based in Tokyo, which has just been battered by Typhoon Haggis, which means ‘speed’ in Tagalog. The typhoon resulted in games being called off in the Rugby World Cup, and I also think my local Sunday League also had to stay dry at home as the football pitches of Setagaya Ward were flooded and remain under water. Well, we’re pretty wet over here in Japan. I wonder how Damian in London is? Damian, how are things over there and have you been watching any football?
