  • Yes, the Bundesliga games are exciting and the quality is good. Recent years have seen great finishes to the season. BUT, in the UEFA compettitions German teams haven’t fared so well in recent seasons. Who do you thnk will be Champions this season? I’m tipping Werder Bremen.

  • Yes, the current state of german football is indeed in need of a shake up. Germans have known about this for quite a while. It seems teams from the Bundesliga simply cannot compete on the European stage anymore. This is what makes the performances of the national team all the more surprising.

  • Absolutely correct on one count. Bremen will win. Not so sure about Bayern v. Schalke. A draw perhaps? I’ll go 1-1.
As for Freiburg. Glad you asked. They have climbed out of the relegation places in the 2nd Division (Zweite Bundesliga), and are moving swiftly up thanks to their third win on the trot last night, a 1-0 victory over Braunschweig. All is well in the Black Forest.
