Weekly Football Phrase – The last four

This week’s football expression is ‘the last four‘ which refers to the remaining four teams in a competition – the four teams that have reached the semi-final stage. Barcelona failed to reach the last four of the Champions League for the first time in seven years last week after their defeat against Atletico Madrid.
