This week’s football review – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly:A Lewandowski, Barcelona and FIFA
Good
There was a busy mid-week of football around Europe but the biggest talking point had to be Robert Lewandowski’s five-goal haul against Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. He came off the bench to score all five goals in just nine minutes to help his team Bayern Munich overcome an early deficit. Amazing stuff from the Polish striker.
Bad
Not such a good mid-week for Barcelona as they were thrashed 4-1 by Galician side Celta on Wednesday. This was their biggest defeat under manager Luis Enrique and maybe act as a wake-up call for the Catalan side that defending their La Liga title will be no easy feat this season.
Ugly
It has been announced this week that Swiss authorities have opened a criminal investigation against FIFA president Sepp Blatter meaning that yet again FIFA is facing more troubling times.
