This season’s Champions League re-starts on August 7th when the first two of the four remaining second leg matches from the last-16 take place – Juventus host Lyon and newly-crowned La Liga champions Real Madrid try to overturn a 2-1 deficit in Manchester. Then over the next two weeks the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will take place, with all games being played in Portugal – at Benfica’s Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica (where the final will also take place) and Sporting CP’s Estádio JosĂ© Alvalade – and this year there will be only one tie – no home and away legs! It will be exciting and it might even favour a team that hits form at the right time. Let us know by voting in our poll below. Which team do you think will win? Can Bayern Munich complete the treble? Will Ronaldo win it with Juventus? Can Barcelona and Messi salvage their season or will Manchester City finally win the Champions League? Or maybe one of the sides in the so-called ‘weaker’ side of the draw – none of whom have ever won the title before? PSG? Atalanta? Leipzig or my favourites AtlĂ©tico Madrid – I’d love to see them go one better after being defeated three times in the final, incluing twice against their city rivals Real.
