DF: Hello John, it’s good to have you here as a Hull City fan. Now this is the first ever time that Hull
City have been in the Premier League or the top division in England, how do you think they are going
to do this season?
John: Well, first of all I can’t believe that we’re there, I think it’s fantastic, best ever in their history. I
think the aim for this season is to stay up and to just survive in the Premiership.
DF: Do you think Hull can stay up this season?
John: Yes, absolutely, I think there’s a lot of feeling in the area, I think there’s money in the area and I
think that there’s a lot of pride in the team and I think it’s quite possible that we … they’ll surprise
people.
DF: For many people this is the first time to actually see Hull City play, so for our listeners on
languagecaster, could you, you know, point out one or two key players for Hull this season.
John: I think the key is Geovanni, I think if he stays fit then he’s going to be contributing a lot to our
success. The other one is King, I think he’s going to do well for us.
DF: So, overall you’re optimistic?
John: Absolutely!
DF: Where do you think you’ll finish?
John: Well, certainly bottom half of the table but what we’re aiming for is 40, 45 points, that’ll keep us
up.
DF: Which team do you think will be Premier League champions at the end of the season?
John: I fancy Arsenal.
DF: How about a dark horse?
John: Everton.
DF: Thanks very much.
