Learn English Through Football
a. faithful fans
b. gusto and grit
I would like to see on this wonderful website some videos commenting on football expressions, vocabulary etc…
i liked a lot “into the mixer” I didnt know.
As usual this site is the best in terms of learning English with football, so rich in details in the explanation. I liked the extra information about the pun.
Nice work guys. Thanks.
Thanks grell and damian.
grell I’ve seen clip as fouling a player as well especially from behind.
So by what damian said clip is similar to dink which means a light touch on the ball as the second goal by Fernandinho (City 6×3 Arsenal) happened.
That’s nice cause I just knew the “dink” word.
dink here in Brazil is called: cavadinha
I forgot this one:
“Per Mertesacker reduced the arrears in injury time.”
reduced the arrears = ?
