Welcome everyone to the podcast for all those interested in improving their English skills and who love the beautiful game of football. My name is Damon and I’m here in Tokyo on beautiful spring day. It has been an interesting week of football as the quarter finals of the Champions League and Europa league have started. And we’ll be talking about some of those later in the show. Damian is not in the office today, so it’s just me and a shorter show!

This week, I managed to watch Liverpool against Porto, Manchester United versus Barcelona and Spurs versus Manchester City – well done to Damian on his team’s win. I bet he wished he was at the game in Tottenham’s new stadium, but I imagine tickets were hard to get. On TV, it certainly looks a great football stadium with a great atmosphere.
