To not admit defeat; to refuse to give up; to have a great fighting spirit.
  • Example: Turkey showed a never-say-die attitude when coming from behind to beat Croatia and the Cezch Republic to win during Euro 2008.
  • Example: Joleon Lescott believes Manchester City have the never-say-die attitude that has helped Manchester United to success following their late goals to secure victory at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday
