Injury: When a player is hurt during the match we can say that they have suffered an injury. If a team has many players who cannot play because they are hurt we can say that the team has lots of injuries.

  • Example: Ronaldo will miss the start of the season through injury.
  • Example: The team suffered an injury crisis with five first-team players missing through injury
