We sometimes hear the phrase 'fightback' (or 'to fight back') in football but what is the meaning?

- A consolation goal is a goal with no meaning on the game so this cannot be a fightback (or a comeback goal).
- A team would need to be losing to have a fightback so 1-0 would not be a fightback.
- A team would need to be losing to have a fightback so 0-0 would not be a fightback (scoreless draw).
- This one is correct - they were losing 0-2- but ended up winning 3-2. This was a fightback - they came back to win.
