What is the meaning of the phrases "touch off" and get on his bike" in this sentence?
25 min And here they come, Son touching off for Ndombele then getting on his bike, taking a beautifully-measured return into stride before a phalanx of defenders crowd him out and his forces a shot that Fabianski saves easily enough.

- To touch off means to pass the ball softly - usually with one touch. We can also use the phrase 'cushion' the ball. https://languagecaster.com/community/postid/386/

- To get on their bike means to run really quickly - to move away from the defender quickly.
