Manchester United are ready to step up their interest in West Ham's 24-year-old England midfielder Declan Rice, but Arsenal remain favourites to sign him. (Guardian)
In this example, we can see that Manchester United are going to increase (step up) their interest in buying Declan Rice. This means that they are going to try more to sign the midfielder.
