Hello, everyone. I don't understand the following words: Swivel. To play in. To shift the ball What do they mean? 60' GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALLL! ! It's 5-1 to Man City! Silva receives the ball on the half turn, swivels and plays in Aguero who shifts the ball onto his right foot too easily past Mbemba and curls into the far corner for his fourth of the game.

To swivel is to turn or change your body position quickly - used when describing a player moving away from another.
To play in is used to describe a pass - usually an accurate pass that allows another play to have a clear chance of scoring. David Silva is brilliant at playing in Aguero for Manchester City.
To shift the ball means to move the ball from one foot to another.
