What do "sizs it up" and "pull rank" mean?
LIVERPOOL 1-0 MAN CITY63: WIDE! Liverpool win a free-kick in a dangerous position. Henderson sizes it up but Salah pulls rank to curl a left-foot attempt, via a deflection, just wide of the post!

If a player sizes up a free kick it means that they are thinking about taking the kick, they are over the ball and deciding whether they can atke the set piece. In this example, however, Salah overrules Henderson - he tells his captain that he is going to take it (not Henderson). And as Henderson is a higher-ranked player (the skipper) he is pulling rank - he is going against his captian - though of couse Salah is such a good player it's not really pulling rank!
