I can't understand the words in bold. Could you tell me what they mean?
24 min: The ball breaks to Moura on the left. Moura shovels a pass down the channel to spring Son into the box! He’s one on one with De Gea, and tries to roof one into the top left from close range. He leans back too much and the ball flies over the bar. (Tottenham vs Man Utd, The Guardian)

To shovel a pass means to somehow manage to pass the ball to a team mate even though it seems difficult to do so. Maybe there are lots of opponents around the player but still they are able to get the ball to their team mate.
To spring Son here means to set Son free - maybe a pass over the back four so that Son would have a one-on-one with the keeper. Sometimes we hear the phrase 'spring the offside trap' which means to break through it.
To roof the ball means to try and shoot into the roof of the net - hit it high into the net.
Thanks a lot for the explanation, Damian.
