Hello everyone. What do the following words mean? To jink past. To toy it past. To skip past. 76' Alen Halilovic jinks past a couple of United players and looks to pick out a team-mate. Good play from the Croatian. GOAL. Superb skill sees Luis Suarez skip past Clint Hill before slotting past Julio Cesar from 10 yards (10 mins). Goal. Palace 0-1 West Ham. The Hammers have broken the deadlock. Moses lays it off to Jenkinson and he toes it past Hennessey.

- To jink past someone is to beat them with skill or technique. Check out a previous post on the word jink
here - To toe it past means to use the end of the foot (the toe) to shoot and score past the keeper.
- To skip past is similar to jink past in that the attacker beats a defender using some skill or good technique.
