Dear languagecaster, What does "flying" actually mean here? I'm a bit confused. GOAL! MK Dons 0-2 SOUTHAMPTON Southampton are flying and soon double their lead as Sadio Mane chips a neat finish over the keeper from close range. Thanks in advance.

I think the idea of flying here means that the team are doing really well - they are probably playing at a high tempo and not letting the opposing team settle.
