What does "build up a head of steam" in this sentence?
Brentford 0-0 Brighton (17 mins)
Brighton building up a head of steam now. Danny Welbeck heads down and on target but it's a comfortable save. Good ball in from Pervis Estupinan though.Â

Sorry, your explanation is missing, Damian. How could I read it?

Hi @Dwi,
Hope you are well.
We had a little trouble with the forum and had to remove that post - sorry.
To build up a head of steam is to build momentum which in football refers to one team starting to play much better than their opponents. The team is creating more chances and having more pressure. Maybe after a spell of pressure like this the team can score a goal.
