Hello, Damian. What does "blast" mean here?
1. Nathaniel Clyne wins a free-kick on the right, but after a cross into the box falls for Philippe Coutinho, the playmaker scuffs his 20 yard shot wide of the goal. Christian Benteke moments later then blasts over.
2. Penalty! Ortega downed. Ross Allum blasts it home. City 2-0 Spartans 42mins.
3. GOAL 3-3. Bradley blasts the penalty right down the middle. / Goal. Maynor blasts into the top corner after collecting a pass from Sanchez. 1-1
Thanks in advance.

Blast is a synonym for 'fire' and 'shoot'. To blast is to hit powerfully. It is mostly used to describe a shop that misses, so 'blasts over', 'blasts wide' are very common phrases.
