On June 7 2008, the Japan National Team had a match in the 3rd Qualifier of the FIFA World Cup 2010 against Oman. This was the same opponent as last week in Japan but this time it kicked off at 5:15 PM in Masqat, Oman. The weather was astonishingly humid and muggy and because of the condition, every player was drained of their reserves of strength. continue

The Japanese national side played an Asian Qualifier for the South Africa World Cup 2010 on June 2 in Yokohama, which they won 3 – 0 against Oman. In this match, Shunsuke Nakamura (Celtic) and Daisuke Matsui (Saint-Étienne) played very well and I really admired their performances. They are definitely the key-players for Japan!! In five days, Japan will have another match against Oman but this time Japan is the away team and it will be really hard to get used to the temperature and climate of Oman as it is so humid there now. It will surely be a tough game but Japanese people hope that we will win the game!! Don’t miss it!!

I am sorry that I am late in writing the match report about the World Cup Asian qualifier game but…
On March 26 2008, the Japan national team played against Bahrain. As you know, we lost the game 0-1. It was so shocking (and boring) but we have still a lot of possibilities to win the other games so never mind, life goes on!!

On March 26, The Japan National Team will have a match away against Bahrain the most dangerous team in Group 2. The last match against them was on March 30, 2006. It was a really tough and hard game but fortunately, we won the game but the score was only 1 – 0. This time will also not be easy and will be very tough again. We can not lose the game because if we do it is a long distance to attend the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
We hope that Japan win the game, definitely!!

Japan’s first World Cup Qualifier game was held against Thailand on February 6, 2008. It was the first game for Takeshi Okada, the new manager, instead of Ivica Osim. Fortunately, we won the game 4-1, although, most Japanese fans and media were not satisfied with it – and me neither.
