Some help to start listening to the podcast
Q.1 What is a podcast?
A podcast is like an internet radio show. It is audio content in a digital form that can be accessed via a computer or a portable digital player (e.g. an i-pod). You can find out more about podcasting by going to these sites: wikipedia podcasting | BBC - what is podcasting?
Q.2 How can I listen to the podcast
There are three ways of listening to the show: 1. Subscribe to the show by clicking here
to receive automatic downloads every week.This will take you to the i-tunes store where you can subscribe and then receive the show automatically every week - for free!
2. Click on the Play Now icon and you will be able to hear the show.
3. Click on the Download icon and the show will be downloaded to your computer allowing you to listen whenever you wish.
Q.3 Do I need any other software to listen?
Not really but if you are having any difficulties listening to the show then contact us at admin@languagecaster.com

Some information about the weekly podcast
Q.1 When does the weekly podcast appear?
Usually on a Thursday evening (UK time) but sometimes it may appear on a Friday.
Q.2 Is the format of the podcast the same every week
For the most part yes. The show lasts for about 15 minutes and is made up of five parts: 1. The introduction 2. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - a review of the football week 3. A main report that is usually connected to a current news story 4. An English for Football expression 5. Predictions for the following week's matches
Q.3 What if I have missed a podcast?
Well, if you subscribe this will not be a problem but we also have a page with all the previous podcasts (along with the worksheets)

Q.1 Are there transcripts for each week's show?
Yes. There is a transcript for each week's main piece which can be found under each podcast post.
Q.2 How about other materials on the site?
Lots of football-related materials for fans of the game who want to improve their English. There is a huge glossary of football terms, as well as a list of football cliches and a handouts page with crosswords and word searches.
