There’s a long way to go in the title race yet, but as a completely unbiased Manchester United fan, Vidic is currently my Premier League player of the year by a street. As connoseiurs of the 1-0 win (such people are usually Arsenal fans) will have noted, United have been very strong at the back this year, and this has made up for their shortcomings in attack. Indeed, it’s now precisely 6786527645 minutes since United conceded a league goal. Van der Sar is rightfully getting a lot of credit for this, but the one defender who has been practically an everpresent during the run is Vidic. All hail the future player of the year.

Yes Elvin, Serbia seems to have a bright future with some great young players in addition to Vidic.

Paul, Player of the Year? Maybe a little early. And don’t forget, you cannot win the title in February but you can lose it ;)
