Good

Congratulations to Valencia, they are the new Spanish cup holders after beating Getafe 3-1 in the final. Speaking of cup finals, Queen of the South, a team from the Scottish second league will play in this year’s final after beating Aberdeen 4-3 - a huge cup upset.
It was a great week for Manchester United as they beat Arsenal 2-1 and nearest rivals Chelsea could only draw at home to Wigan leaving the Blues 5 points behind United. It was also good for Bayern in Germany, Real Madrid in Spain and Inter in Italy as they all won again to move a step closer to their respective titles. It was good too for Schalke in the Bundesliga as they bounced back from defeats in Europe and at home, as well as losing their manager, to win 5-0 against Cottbus.
Last week we mentioned Brazilian teams doing well in the Copa Libertadores, well this week it is the turn of the Argentinian sides as Estudiantes and Lanus both made it through to the knock-out stages. However, Boca and River still need to win their last group matches to join them in the last 16.
Bad

The boardroom struggles at Anfield rage on with none of the parties exactly covering themselves in glory. It will be interesting to see how this one ends and what effect it will have on the Reds. While rumours of Wayne Rooney being named England captain cannot be a good thing at all.
Ugly

Players fighting in the tunnel after Celtic beat Rangers in the Scottish Premier League was pretty ugly but the game between Groningen and Ajax was cancelled after fans set fire to paper in the stand, which could have been very ugly indeed.
