Massive game on Sunday for us Blues. In the biggest Merseyside derby for years I have my fingers and toes crossed that we can have a right go at them and take the 3 points.
I believe in karma so surely after the worst refereeing performance of the season by Stevie Me’s best mate Mr. Clattenberg in the reverse fixture earlier in the season at Goodison, hopefully the Gods will be wearing blue this time. continue reading

On seeing my difficulty in trying to buy a ticket for the World Cup Qualifying Asian section match between hosts Thailand and Oman, some kindly soul felt pity on me and handed me a free ticket - as long as I supported Thailand of course. This typical act of Thai generosity came after I had walked around the very impressive Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok twice in a vain attempt to find the ticket booth that every security guard and stadium worker I asked told me was just around the next corner.

One thing is for certain. This year’s Serie A title race is a lot more exciting than last year’s. Last year Inter finished over twenty points ahead of Roma, who were followed by Lazio and then AC Milan. How is it looking this year with nine games to go? continue reading

A poor display with a host of substitutions won’t do anyone any good. England need to use these friendlies to build confidence and a team that is comfortable playing together - a happy band of brothers. continue reading

The third 4-4 draw of the season (interestingly the same teams have been involved in all three games) after a stirring comeback to overturn a three-goal deficit versus Aston Villa in October, this time we came back on three different occasions against London rivals Chelsea to snatch a point. And it could have been three had Berbatov scored in the last minute. And there you have our season in a nutshell, if only…? continue reading

Who knows what tactical genius led Spurs manager Juande Ramos to take off Spurs’ two most dangerous players Lennon and Keane so early in the game, but City’s players must have thought Christmas had come early.
