We’re on the march with Moyes’s army..

Happy days on the blue half of Merseyside :) Up to 4th in the league much to the dismay of our “top 4/big 4″ neighbours across the park, and within touching distance of a first appearance at the New Wembley. It’s always a good time to be a blue, but more than ever right now. We have been on a great run recently, losing only to Arsenal and Man Utd in the league since the dodgy derby defeat in October. For the first time in recent memory we have a strong squad and the passing football pinging around the midfield from the likes of Arteta, Pienaar, Osman and Cahill has been a joy to behold. No longer the dogs of war of the mid-nineties, the blues are starting to live up to the old nickname, the School of Science. A 1-0 victory at a rocking Goodison on Wednesday night will send us to our first final since the ‘95 FA cup win when Paul Rideout nodded in the winner against Man Utd. It won’t be an easy ride at home to Chelski but if we play our game and with the help of the Goodison roar, Moysey could well be going to Membley. And I must it will be nice to shake them up when we win the Carling Cup because Everton are the greatest football team!

Ben, If I could ’steal’ one player from your team it would have to be Cahill. He makes everyone play better on your team and everyone is wary of him on opposing sides. How much?
hmmm the beauty of Cahill is that even though opposing sides are wary of him, it is very hard to mark him out of the game. He regularly loses his man and pops up with vital goals. Can you name another midfielder of his size who scores so many headers? 20 million and a packet of pork scratchings please! Pleasingly, he is quoted in the press today dexribing how we are now a club of progress and we can keep our top players at the club. Let’s hope it stays that way!

Congrats on making it to the final, you must be delighted. Everton Spurs would be a great proper final! Here’s hoping….
Cheers Ben, good luck tonight!!
